Another rough day

Another rough day, which unfortunately also means a smaller paycheck.  Woke up feeling sick, tried going to work, just to have to go home. What that also means is no pay for today! That's really going to hurt too! I really need to find a job that I can work Monday through Friday with benefits.   This crap is getting old as I am getting too old for it too! Plus work tomorrow won't be fun either since they'll be all mad at me like I wanted to be sick or something.   Sigh...I really need to get things changed for the better.

Bad day

Twas a rough day today. Definitely more than I needed on my mind. Definitely didn't help in the self worth department.  Hopefully tomorrow will bring some good ideas and happier things.

I have a very wise friend to be very very thankful for today that really helped put some things in perspective for me. So I need to remember that and continue to be thankful for her friendship!!!

French Onion Crockpot Pork Chops

Apparently my crock pot is going to be my best friend this year.   Poor thing lost a handle a few months back,  but is still going strong!

Today as my title tells you was boneless pork loin chops. Didn't have a recipe so I improvised with what I had.

Here's my list:
Boneless pork loin chops
1pack french onion soup seasoning
Worchestershire sauce
Garlic salt
Some salt and pepper
Water
Carrots

Throw it all in and go! I cooked it on low all day.  If you have your own version if this comment below, I would love to know if you have a better recipe.

Tomorrow I'm trying bbq burgers in my crock pot!

In my own thoughts

Got the dog out for a short run with me tonight.   35 minutes out in the quiet outside.  I think this may just become a habit.

The older I get, the more I realize I'm a country girl at heart.  I can really foresee the hubs and I moving to the country as we get older.   I love the peace and quiet.  I heard an owl while I was out and of course all the noise making bugs.  There is just something really calm and comforting about it all.  I'm pretty sure the dog is content too. We walked through the door and he was grinning from ear to ear. 

Yes my dog smiles I kid you not.

Night Walk With the Dog

The dog broke his line today.   Lucky for us the dog loves us enough that he came back lol.  That also meant it was back to walking the dog the good old fashion way.  So out we went for a nice walk in the peaceful night. Not quite a full moon yet, but almost.

I need the exercise as well so the universe may have been trying to tell me something.   It was actually intensely peaceful.  Fall is my absolute favorite season and this weather is so very calming for the soul.  I don't see any need to replace the dog line soon.  It can wait until the cold and snow when I no longer have the urge to walk out in the cold.  Sorry Dog you're on your own then!

I have been nodding off all day today, so off to bed I must go though.  Maybe tomorrow night I'll make our walk a run. Now wouldn't that be swell?!
